                             The information technology has above all position among many more communication system. It has become essential means in this 21st century. The information and knowledge  is not only special humanright, is fundamental right also. It provides all possibilities and opportunities for the development of every kind of society. It is  seen  very  much  necessary and  indispensable  for the  development   of    developing country  like  Nepal.  The  possibility  of  information  technology  has  become  increased  in  urban  region.  If extension and approach is done in rural areas the social, economic, cultural and so many development become obvious. For the achievement of this aim a forum has  been established to develop rural areas,  which has been named "Information and Communication  Technology forum For Rural Development Nepal". It has been established as  a NGO since Jan 2007.It is Registered in DAO under 2034 Act on Aug 2007and Affiliated with SWC on Nov 2007.
                                     The NGO aims to develop the village/remote areas giving the emphasis in  information and communication  technologies in society accordance with new era.These organization  works to reach such facilites up to the remote areas to develop such mode.This forum also establishes Rural Telecenter to  reach  the  voice of   the  village  up  to  related entity. To provide other several opportunities for the development of the village is next objective of it.
     
                                      Even though the several information centers of governmental and  non   governmental   organizations   were   established in rural areas till now, no one organization   created such  important  work  for  Lumbini  region.  Due  to  this  reason, to transmit  the  programme  in  the  related  field  for  the  public  awareness  throughout  the nation, this organization oriented aims to conduct. This organization will start to establish the  Rural  Telecenter  in  rural  areas  from  this  year  and establish  E-Learning Center which   will  enhance  the  ability, training, seminars,  suggestions,  control  and  definite  direction  in  necessary  amount. Any other governmental and non governmental organizations may help this organization in the title of economy and physical facility. This organization expects cordial help for the future project.

Information and Communication Technology For All

                                                                  The objectives under the circumference of rules and regulations
  • To establish the Rural TeleCenter in rural areas within Nepal developing access of information and communication technologies.
  • To conduct the radio programme, social bulletin, information library, development of community portal, tele-center documentary  by means of rural voice, local thoughts, the     rural problems and cases by means of communication.
  • To conduct radio programme, community magazine, e-library and community portal development and documentary of tele-center   by establishing rural information center in     different V.D.C. of the district by the help of community and other social clubs of rural areas.
  • To help in order to change the economic, social, political and psychological status of rural people to be aware from illiteracy and  ignorance.
  • To conduct the public awareness programme in the field of Tele medicine, technical education, computer education, distant  education, forest environment, agriculture, tourism, gender discrimination, drug addiction, HIV aids,control of women trafficking reduction of natural disasters,conservation of community  and E-governance.
  • To conducat the public awareness programmes by studying the embarrassed group, ladies, oppressed, backword class of society (dalit), indigenous people,handicapped,    orphan including relating to human rights.
  • To conduct child technical education, child wall poster (newspaper/calendar), report writing training etc.
  • To access the information and communication, application, development, extend the rural agricultural promotion, growth in productivity and the tourism industry.
  • It will participate the people in running development functions by identifying local needs including implementation, monitoring,evaluation.
  • To help and make to help to develop the functions related to information and communication technology in co-operative way with running governmental or non governmental    organization and other organization of common objectives
  • To organize the skill development training, seminars, workshop for the community club of rural areas, youth club, audience club,mothers' group, child club, the students of      government schools' and others.
  • Conduct the judicially perfect programme for the embarrassed and backward class in information technology.
  • Help to develop the skills of human resource.
  • Help to conserve the Nepalese arts and culture.
  • To establish the rural information broad casting center in each rural tele-center.
  • To exchange the knowledge, skill, technology and information related to information and communication technology sector
             establishing the relation with the foreigner   or INGOs having the similar objectives.
